ABOUT APOSTLE DR. KWADWO SAFO

Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo is a special Man of God. He preaches the gospel and performs miracles within and outside the congregation of his church. But he reminds each and every one of the fact that: "miracle is not my mission".
He became more involved in philanthropy and contribution to charity from the very onset of Kristo Asafo.  From single handedly feeding some of the stranded Ghanaian returnees from Nigeria in 1983 amidst bush fire and famine that ravaged the country at that time, he donated to Rehabilitation Centers, Social Welfare Centers, Prisons, Children’s Homes and other institutions throughout the country including the University of Ghana - Legon.

In spite of his enormous contribution to society, he keeps emphasizing the fact that, “philanthropy is not my mission on earth”.
His good works and kind gestures have earned him awards from the government and countless institutions throughout the country. These include:

• The Order of the Volta (Member Division) in 2007
• The Millennium Excellence Award, Best Philanthropist in the Humanitarian Category in 2006
• He was appointed Member of the National Council for Tertiary Education in 2006

• The Industrial Pinnacle Award, Winner of Platinum Service to Humanity in 2004

As part of events to commemorate his birthday celebration, Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo, the humanitarian and technological genius who is on record to have carried out the greatest philanthropic activity in the country, is once again touching the lives of the needy in society.

This year’s events began with “one to one” donations to the physically challenged  and other needy people  who were seen begging on the streets. They were then extended to “house to house” donations as the Kantanka Team drove across the country to visit some slum communities.

 

The life touching activities which has lasted for several weeks, and still ongoing, is not limited to people in the streets and slum communities. Some institutions in the country are also being visited.

Last week, the Kumasi Children’s home took their turn. They were presented with cash, food stuff and other items. Additionally, a grand feat was organised for them. The atmosphere was filled with joy and ecstasy as many children took to the dancing floor to show their skills.

Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo, the Star of Africa, has been paying regular visits and making whooping donations to the home for decades including the donation of a bus to help them commute to school and other functions with ease.

 

The children in the home told www.africarm.org that they see the Apostle as their father. While some expressed their excitement about the party, others broke into tears as they remembered the care and support showered on them by the Apostle.

One of the youth at the home and a student of Kumasi Technical Institute who gave his name as Ewusi told the magazine “I am so happy for the birthday party he has been doing for us.  We are happy and even today too we are still happy. We miss you a lot Nana Safo.

 

We see him as our father. I remember one day (during my childhood days)  he told us he was coming to visit us and we were looking forward to see him but he could not make it. We all were disturbed because we thought something has happened to him. We miss you a lot Nana Safo. We thank God for his life and all he has done for us. May God richly bless him.” He also recollected how he and his friends jubilated when the bus was presented to them.

 

On behalf of all those who are being touched by these kind gestures, we say a big thank you to the Star of Africa.

The birthday celebration is expected to be climaxed in the Central Region before the close of this month.

Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo manufactured his first automobile “Kantanka Saloon” in 1998 and a Cross Country 4 - Wheel Drive "Kantanka Onantefo I" in 2006.

In June 2007, he released a newer model of “the Kantanka Onantefo II" which was driven throughout most parts of the country for testing. On 30th December 2007, Apostle Safo outdoored a 26 feet long Limo styled Cross Country "Kantanka Obrempon" at the church's 27th Annual Charity & Technology Fair at Awoshie in Accra, Ghana. He on the same day launched an Excavator which he locally manufactured.

He has made a variety of industrial machinery - Weed Slathers, Street Cabbage Collectors, Spot Welding Machines and Automated Human censored WCs and Taps

The heart full-filling driving experience the new Kantanka SUVs and Pickups offer continues to make the citizenry fall more in love with them.

Many distinguished personalities have devoted time to test drive the automobiles and attest to the vibrating news breezing across the country. As the famous saying goes “He who feels it, knows it more.”

This week saw Ghanaian celebrities also taking test drives of the vehicles and witnessing the legendary performance they deliver.

After the drive, the warm-heated smile on the face of John Dumelo and the cheerful wave of approval from James Gardiner, both famous Ghanaian actors, relayed the story to everyone watching before they verbally communicated it.

The famous Ghanaian actor and businessman, John Dumelo, has joined the list of personalities who have per-ordered Kantanka Automobiles.

The Ghanaian celebrity made this decision after experiencing the life-time driving experience delivered by the Kantanka SUVs and Pickups.

Following this, he took to his Facebook page with about 1,724,285 fans, to share his joy with them.

Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo was born on 26th August 1948 at Bekwai in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. After basic school, he attended the Ghana Technical Works Institute in Kumasi. After, he had a three-year internship as a welder at the Volta Aluminum Company (VALCO), West African Metals and the French African Company. On the 3rd February, 1971 he founded his church, Kristo Asafo (Christ Reformed Church). Kristo Asafo is famous for its philanthropy and service to the needy in society in Ghana since its establishment.
